Suspect sought in Burlington bank robbery

BURLINGTON, NC (WTVD) -- Burlington Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with a bank robbery Friday morning.

Police said the Carter Bank & Trust at 106 S. Broad St. was robbed shortly before 10 a.m.

When officer's arrived, a bank official told them a man entered the bank and passed a note demanding cash.

The suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured.

The suspect has been identified as Tyler Edward Worth, 25. A warrant for common law robbery has been issued but Worth is not in custody.
