ABC's Byron Pitts visits Raleigh to teach young journalists

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- ABC News anchor Byron Pitts is in Raleigh, teaching the next generation of journalists.

Pitts spent Monday and Tuesday meeting one-on-one with Mass Communications students at Saint Augustine's University.

The nightline anchor is the scholar-in-residence at the school.

Pitts interned at ABC11 many years ago and was mentored by late ABC11 anchor Larry Stogner.
