Your morning cup of coffee could be drowning your diet.

A newly brewed study from the University of Illinois shows Americans add an average of 69 calories to their coffee.

Those extra calories come from the sugar, cream, half-and-half and other sweeteners people add to their cup of joe.

Those 69 calories may not seem like a lot, but over time it can add up to extra pounds every year.
