RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police say reports of shots fired at Crabtree Valley Mall on Saturday afternoon were unfounded after a brief investigation.

The shots fired call happened sometime around 4:40 p.m. near the H&M entrance.

Police said a number of juveniles fled the scene after a string of pre-arranged fights broke out in the mall, leading witnesses to report the shooting.

Jayliyah Mayhand was inside when the chaos ensued.

"We started to hear a lot of screaming and commotion," Mayhand said. "The atmosphere, at least in Forever 21, was everybody looking at each other like 'What's going on? Is somebody in trouble? And they actually closed the gate to our store."

Officials said there were no injuries and or charges at this time.

No one is in custody at this time.
