Teacher charged

Brown made a court appearance Tuesday where his attorney asked the judge for a reduction of his $50,000 bond. The attorney, Christopher Detwiler, told the court that his client maintained his innocence, had a newborn at home and was not a flight risk. Detwiler asked for bond to be reduced to $15,000 secured.

The judge declined that request, keeping bond at the original amount.
