Triangle Beagle Rescue of North Carolina said the dogs are with foster families. They will soon see veterinarians and once they are medically cleared, they can be adopted.

The beagles all weigh less than 20 pounds and are as young as 8 weeks old. Some of the 46 beagles rescued were as old as 11.
The six boys and nine girls are all named after superheroes:
