It's called The Drive-In at Carraway Village and it is at 600 Carraway Crossing.
The new theater had a ribbon-cutting Wednesday morning.
Then, at 7:30 p.m., Film Fest 919 hosts the theater's inaugural event "Opening Night Cine Celebration."
That event will feature a new film every Wednesday-Saturday night through October 31. You will need to reserve tickets to attend. You can do that here.
The drive-in theater is located at Carraway Village Apartments, an apartment complex in Chapel Hill near Interstate 40 and NC 86.
