Thousands of power outages reported across NC as Tropical Storm Michael pushes through

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- As Tropical Storm Michael [url HREF="https://abc11.com/4459997/" TARGET="new" REL=""][b]continues to move through North Carolina[/b][/url], heavy storms are already beginning to cause thousands of power outages across the state.[br /] [br /]As of 7:30 p.m. Thursday, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety reported a total of 604,831 power outages.[br /][br /][iframe SRC="https://s3.amazonaws.com/outagemap.duke-energy.com/ncsc/default.html" HEIGHTSMALL="300" HEIGHTMEDIUM="540" HEIGHTLARGE="720" /][br /][br /]Duke Energy projects Hurricane Michael could cause [url HREF="https://abc11.com/4456555/" TARGET="new" REL=""][b]300,000 to 500,000 power outages in North Carolina and South Carolina this week[/b][/url], based on the storm's current forecasted track.[br /]
