When officers got to the scene they found two vehicles had crashed near the intersection. A power pole was hit and a car crashed into the side of the Walgreens building. The crash significantly damaged the side of the Walgreens, and because of a gas leak, the building had to be evacuated.
Dominion Energy shut off the gas to the area before crews were able to put out a fire that had started.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Customer, Takmma Kamau told ABC11 she saw a person pulling another person from a car that was on fire.
"It was two guys and a baby in the car that was on fire. By the time I got there, it was some guy pulling another guy out of the car," she said. "I seen it--was chaos, people running out of the store. I knew I wasn't going in there. I hope everybody's ok."
Fire crews said there was heavy structural damage to the building. There is no word on when Walgreens will reopen.
