Police say it happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of Ridgeway Avenue.
When officers arrived they found the teen who was shot. He later died at the hospital.
Initially, police thought a woman was also shot, but it was determined her injury was not a result of being shot.
ABC11 spoke to one neighbor who said they had a brief conversation with the young man only to come back an hour later and learn he was shot and killed.
Police say they're still investigating and anyone with information is asked to call them.
