DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating an overnight crash on 15-501 toward Chapel Hill on Sunday.
Police believe the driver of the car ran off the highway sometime early Sunday and was trapped for several hours.

The car was discovered when someone driving on the road noticed skid marks.
The driver's name and his condition have not been released.
