When officers arrived on the scene they found an unoccupied vehicle with bullet holes at the intersection of Elm Street and East Main Street.

A short time later a man walked into a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Police said during the investigation, two vehicles began to drive through the crime scene and two officers returned gunfire.
Both of those vehicles ended up leaving the scene.
No officers were injured.

The officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave with pay, which is standard procedure in an officer-involved shooting.
Bullet holes could also be found in a nearby home, dangerously close to Raven Sheperd.
"It's my bedroom. I haven't been able to sleep in it. It definitely could have hit me, and luckily I wasn't in bed yet," she said.
Sheperd said she didn't move or touch anything related to the bullet holes while waiting for police to return.
"I did come outside and tell the cops; they were up and down the street. Someone did come in, did a quick little report. They said that forensics would come and take pictures. in a few hours. They didn't come," she said.
Tire tracks across from her home show the apparent path of the bullet damaged car. So now, after her very close call Sunday night.
"I've already considered like okay; this might be my time to maybe move. Because I don't feel like, taken care of by the police here." Sheperd said.
There are no other details available at this time.
