Man killed in overnight Durham shooting, police say

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating after a man was shot and killed overnight.

Authorities said officers responded to a gunshot wound call just after midnight in the 100 block of Wakerobin Place. They found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. He was identified as Allan Alston, 41, of Durham.

The case remains under investigation. However, the shooting does not appear to be random, according to investigators.
