With 100% of precincts reporting, Colvin cruised to victory with 65% of the vote against challenger Freddie de la Cruz.

Colvin acknowledged this victory as a big accomplishment as he will embark on his seventh and eighth years in office.
Colvin has outlined areas such as preparing the next generation of workers and cracking down on crime through youth programs as some of his priorities for the next term.

"We've got a lot of groundwork laid already to continue to build and proactively intervene into the lives of these young people so that they stay on a positive road and not a negative road," Colvin said. "We're going to continue to do that. We'll continue to be very competitive in recruiting companies and creating jobs for here for people to have. We'll continue to rebrand the city and tell the good story."
De la Cruz told ABC11 that the people have spoken and that he will go back to focusing on his wedding and limousine business now that the election is over.
Meanwhile, some new members of the city council who were voted in Tuesday night included Malik Davis for District 2, who defeated incumbent Shakeyla Ingram, and Lynne Bissette Greene for District 5.
