12-year-old, 2 adults seriously injured in Fayetteville shooting

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are investigating after two adults and a child were shot Saturday evening.

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, officers received an SOS distress signal in the area of the 6800 block of Cliffdale Road just after 6:30 p.m. When officers arrived they stopped a vehicle that was driving erratically in the 6400 block of Cliffdale Road. Police said a man and woman inside the vehicle had serious gunshot wounds, and a 12-year-old victim was also shot. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

After searching the area, police said the location of the shooting was in the 1100 block of 71st School Road.

Police said all three victims are in stable condition.
