The medical examiner was called to review the scene. The bodies were taken to a medical facility for further examination.

The family of Josephine Taylor told ABC11 that she was the mother of four and grandmother to a dozen.

Josephine Taylor was born and raised in this Vance County community. Her daughters said she also used to run a daycare in Durham.

"She was a very strong lady," said her granddaughter Chelsea Marshall. "She was going through some medical issues but nothing we thought would take her away this soon, so we aren't sure and we're waiting for police to tell us what happened."

The case remains an active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to please call the Henderson Police Department at (252) 438-4141.
