RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Less than twenty-four hours after announcing her resignation from the board, Wake County Commissioner Jessica Holmes has decided to keep her position.
In a statement released today, she said she reversed her decision after the immense response she received from her constituents and the public.

She stunned the board by announcing Monday night that she was resigning from her seat. Near the end of the work session, the commissioners moved into the "other business" portion of their agenda, and Holmes spoke up to say she had "other business."
She now says she will complete her term and apologized for any confusion.
