2 kayakers rescued from Neuse River

WAKE FOREST, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Two kayakers were rescued from the Neuse River Saturday afternoon.

According to the Wake Forest Fire Department, a couple was by a dam when the woman's kayak got caught in some branches and tipped over.

The man doubled back to stay with her; however, help was unable to toss them a line, so water rescue was called to assist.

Authorities said no one was hurt.
