Police said it happened at 5 a.m. on Thursday in the 3000 block of Kings Court.
The apartments are less than four miles from NC State.

According to police, it is unknown where the suspect entered the residence.
"As a woman, I'm really scared to hear that kind of news," said Selina Akter, whose husband and daughter live in the complex.
Authorities are encouraging people to check their windows and doors to make sure they are secure.
"We were already locking our doors. I wasn't too concerned about that. Now I feel I have to be extra careful when walking my dog or something," said Rachel Hyman, a recent NC State grad who lives in the complex.
