Agamloh apparently was wearing jeans and may have become fatigued in the water.
Friends and classmate are remembering the teen for his kindness and generosity.
"It kind of shocked me," said friend Logan Perentis. "He was such a genuine guy, everybody liked him. I was talking to people today and they were saying how sweet of a guy he was and he always help me doing stuff last semester, so that's how I remember him."
The principal of Holly Springs, Brian Pittman, is offering his condolences to Agamloh's family and those impacted by his death. Tuesday he sent an email to parents saying, "Please keep David's family and friend in your thoughts during this difficult time."
Holly Springs said they will have counselors available at school Wednesday for students who need additional support.
