Friday, April 28, 2017
The event honoring the fight against brain tumors arrives in the Triangle on Saturday, April 29 when the 24th annual Angels Among Us 5K & Family Fun Walk takes center stage at Duke University.

Teams from all over the world raise money for the walk, which has raised more than $20 million dollars for the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke since 1994.

Funds donated through Angels Among Us are unrestricted for the Center and can be used where it is most needed in the fight against brain tumors. The money is used for everything from purchasing sophisticated equipment to supporting research and recruitment of high-level researchers and providing start-up funding for young investigators.

The event begins with a 5K run through the Duke campus followed by a Family Fun Walk through the Sarah P. Duke Gardens. The event offers a silent auction, activities for children, music, food trucks, and awards for top fundraising teams.
