The suspect fled on foot and was last seen in the area of the 1200 block of Ramsey Street.
Police said Friday that Streets already had outstanding warrants.
"He did have warrants out for his arrest prior to this for attempted first-degree murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling as well as a felony larceny," said Sgt. Alpha Caldwell. "So there are warrants out for that at this point. But there are charges now that are coming, forthcoming due to this incident."
The relationship between the suspect and the victim is not yet known. Police are still trying to determine a motive.
