Missing 2-year-old found safe, man in custody day after Amber Alert issued; police

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- According to the Virginia Beach Police Department, a missing 2-year-old at the center of an Amber Alert issued Saturday has been found safe in North Carolina.

VBPD posted to social media that 2-year-old Zuri Dorsey was found safe in Charlotte, NC, and Deandre Dorsey,27, is in custody.



According to the NC State Highway Patrol, the incident happened in Virginia Beach, VA on Saturday. Dorsey was believed to be traveling to NC in a red 2016 Honda Accord with the child.

No other information has been released.
