Eyewitness News spoke with the mothers of both of these teenage victims. They're thankful both of their kids are alive, and they're determined to help police make an arrest.
A parent says damage was the aftermath of a terrifying chase and shooting in the Renaissance Park neighborhood and there is Ring camera video of the moments leading up to the shooting.
A resident shared one clip with Eyewitness News. It shows the sedan driving down a street and then a pick-up truck trailing not far behind.
Another person says he heard the chase before a series of shots were fired.
The parent says her daughter and a male friend, both teenagers, were grabbing a late-night snack at a nearby Taco Bell.
That parent believes the truck driver followed the pair back into the neighborhood.
"They literally tried to kill my daughter," one mother said.
The female victim wasn't hurt, but the male victim was shot twice in the rib cage, according to one parent.
"I'm going to find out who did this."
Police say investigators are now talking with witnesses and combing through surveillance video clips to identify the driver.
Folks are being encouraged to upload anything possibly connected to the investigation to the City's ConnectRaleigh video sharing program
"It's very concerning. I've been in the police department now for 20 years right and road rage incidences, they're pretty rare in the city limits of Raleigh," said Raleigh Police Lt. David Davis.
Police are reminding folks to if you see someone driving aggressively or erratically, do not engage and drive to a safe place like a fire station or police station while calling 911.
