3 teens injured in drive-by shootings a mile apart in Durham

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Three teens were taken to the hospital after two separate drive-by shootings on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Durham Police Department, officers responded to calls about a shooting in the 2300 block of Ashe Street just after 7:30 p.m. When officers arrived they found two juveniles with gunshot wounds.

They were both taken to the hospital with what police said were non-life-threatening injuries.

A preliminary investigation found that shots were fired from a passing vehicle, police said.

A second shooting happened in the 1000 block of Morning Glory Avenue near the Golden Belt complex Wednesday evening.



Police said a teen was injured when a vehicle passed by and fired shots at him.

he was taken to the hospital with what officers said were non-life-threatening injuries.
