DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two teens were arrested Friday in connection with a weekend armed robbery in Durham, according to the Criminal Investigations Division of the Durham County Sheriff's Office.

On Sept. 6, two teens entered VIP Tobacco & Vape at 3708 Wake Forest Hwy. (N.C. 98), grabbed items from the store and fled. Employees who attempted to stop them reported that one of the suspects pulled out a handgun before getting into a vehicle waiting outside.

A 13-year-old juvenile was taken into secure custody under a judge's order following juvenile petitions for robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy. The juvenile's name was not released.

The second suspect, Kai Morrison, 18, of Durham, was arrested without incident and taken to the Durham County Detention Center. Morrison is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy and is being held without bond.
Investigators are still searching for the driver of the vehicle, and additional charges are pending.
