RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A coffee company founded in Raleigh that employs people with Down syndrome and other disabilities, is now heading to Wegman's shelves with a heartwarming backstory.

Megan, one of 321 Coffee's baristas who also has a disability, worked part time at a local Wegmans. She began talking to her manager about the coffee chain and its mission.

The conversations led to Wegmans leadership getting involved and they paid a visit to a Raleigh location in person.

During that visit, a Wegmans executive recognized Shanti, a 321 Coffee barista with Down syndrome who stars in the company's "Friday Eve" Instagram reels.

According to the owners, that meaningful and authentic moment helped to solidify the partnership.
