7-month-old injured alongside 2 others in Henderson drive-by shooting

HENDERSON, N.C. (WTVD) -- Three people were injured in a drive-by shooting including a 7-month-old child in Henderson.

At 8:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 100 block of Wester Avenue.

When officers arrived they found three people shot inside a car.

They have been identified as 24-year-old Quincy Rodwell, 24-year-old Kenya Knott, and the 7-month-old.

An investigation showed that the victims were parked in front of a home when a dark-colored SUV pulled alongside.



The people inside the SUV opened fire into the car before leaving the scene toward East Winder Street, according to police. Kenya Knott and the infant were taken to an area medical facility.

Both are reported to be alert and aware.

Quincy Rodwell refused medical treatment at the scene.
