Thursday, November 13, 2014
DURHAM (WTVD) -- The Durham district attorney has dropped assault charges against Charlotte Hornets player P.J. Hairston.

The charges stemmed from a fight during a pick-up basketball game at the YMCA in Durham.

The D.A. says charges were dropped at the request of the alleged victim, Northern High senior Kentrell Barkley.

Since the case erupted, both men claimed the other one threw the first punch.

Now, all of the charges have been dropped, and the case is closed.
