CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A woman killed earlier this month in a shooting has been identified, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

Shayna Raynor, 34, was shot on March 12 in what appeared to be a custody exchange at her home in the 4800 block of Backbay Road in the Gray's Creek neighborhood.

A suspect was taken into custody the night of the shooting. Court documents identified him as Rodney Crockett Robinson, 36, the father of Raynor's young son.

Robinson, of Fayetteville, fled the scene but later called 911 to report there was a body on Backbay Road. He was charged with first-degree murder.

According to the Fayetteville Observer, court records show the killing came nine days after charges of trespassing and cyberstalking were dismissed against Robinson.
