SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man was arrested after leading Sampson County deputies on a chase that crossed into Harnett County.
It all started when a deputy attempted to stop Ford Explorer in Dunn. Instead of pulling over, the driver 50-year-old Benjamin Mann sped off, eventually entering Harnett County.
Authorities deployed stop sticks to bring the pursuit to an end.
Mann abandoned his vehicle on Erwin Road in Erwin and tried to escape on foot but was quickly apprehended and taken into custody.
He now faces multiple charges, including felony flee and elude.
