Car crashes into house in Johnston County

SELMA, N.C. (WTVD) -- Police say a car crashed into a house in Johnston County while two people were asleep inside.

It happened early Saturday morning near Waddell and Forest Streets in Selma.

Police say the driver was pulled from the vehicle by bystanders and was taken to the hospital.

A passenger was also treated for minor injuries on scene.

The vehicle caught fire, but crews were able to put it out before it spread to the house.



A man his 9-year-old child were inside the home at the time but were not hurt.
