Manolo's Bakery in Charlotte partnered with Raise You Up Ministries for their community birthday event.
People in need came out and celebrated while also getting a free hot meal, haircut, birthday presents and of course cake!
"It's a connection with reality, it's a connection with God. It's a connection with love. It's a good way to remind me that the reason I'm here is to serve," said Manolo Betancur.
He is a Colombian immigrant, who says he struggled when he first moved to the US.
He says after hearing from people in the community, he realized some of their stories are the same.
