Cyclist taken to hospital after being trapped under car

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A man was taken to the hospital after being hit while riding his bike by a car. He was trapped underneath the car until emergency workers arrived.

It happened Saturday afternoon on Fayetteville Street near Lakewood Avenue.

Authorities said he had non-life threatening injuries.

No word yet on the identity of the man hit or the driver. Police have not said if they will file charges.
