According to the Wake County Sheriff's Office (WCSO), around 10:30 p.m., a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle driving recklessly on Poole Road near Hodge Road. The driver fled, leading authorities on a chase that continued onto I-540, I-87, and Clearwater Springs Road.
The vehicle eventually ran off the road, and the driver and two passengers ran away on foot. The driver and one passenger were apprehended shortly after.
No injuries were reported.
Charges are pending as the investigation continues, and no further details are available at this time.
