LA GRANGE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Deputies are still searching Friday morning for a man they say shot two people with stolen firearms.

The Lenoir County Sheriff's Office said Ryan Keith Everett, 38, from La Grange, committed a robbery in Greene County, stole two firearms, went to an address on Wheat Swamp Road, and shot two people.

The victims were identified as Dustin Snyder, 37, of Kinston and Kathryn Sturges, 37, of Snow Hill. The sheriff's office has not determined a motive for these shootings yet.

"Everett is obviously a flight risk and extremely dangerous to our community," Lenoir County Sheriff Jackie Rogers said.

LCSO said they continue to have a heavy law enforcement presence, including Special Response Team (STR) members, in the area of U.S. 258 and Wheat Swamp Road. Residents have been asked to stay indoors.

However, North Lenior High School has been searched and is safe for students. In a Friday statement, LCSO said in part: "There will be a large law enforcement presence around and in the area of the high school today, including a SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) team in place."
