FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A Cumberland County deputy shot in the line of duty is now out of the hospital.

Joshua LaFave, 25, is recovering at home after last month's shooting.

He was one of four deputies injured on July 30. He was the most seriously hurt.

Authorities say Jay Michaels shot up his in-laws' mobile home, killing a 10-year-old boy and his grandfather.

Michaels died shortly after a shootout with deputies.
