Victim dies, suspect charged with murder in Raleigh shooting

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Raleigh man has died after a shooting on September 12 and the suspect is now charged with murder, police said.

It happened around 2:15 a.m., in the 1100 block of Pettis Place.

Officers found 42-year-old Derrick Bell, who had been shot multiple times. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, but later died.

Bryant Lanorris Baldwin, 43, has been charged with murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied property, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
