RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Six veterans received new beds this week through a partnership between the Dreams4All Foundation and Mission First K9, providing a simple but meaningful boost to their well-being.

The beds were distributed during a special event held Thursday morning, where organizers and volunteers gathered to recognize the veterans' service and present the donations.

Leaders with Dreams4All said the effort is about more than providing furniture. It's about restoring comfort and stability for those who have served.

Many of the veterans receiving beds have faced challenges such as combat-related injuries, PTSD and other hardships. Organizers say having a safe and comfortable place to sleep can play an important role in recovery.

"Providing them with a quality place to rest at night is a gift for them that is important," said Kristen Botts with Mission First K9.

The event also highlighted the ongoing work of both organizations to support veterans through community-driven efforts.

Organizers say the collaboration shows how small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact, helping ensure those who served have the support they need at home
