Durham Public Schools awarded more than $100K through grant program

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A big donation from Durham Public Schools Foundation.

The group has awarded $135,000 through its annual grant program.

The money will support 27 projects across 26 Durham Public Schools.

One focus is a Lego engineering program at Brogden Middle School.

Students will design, build, and test Lego car engines.



The money will also support mental health resources for middle school students in special education.
