The school went under a Code Red lockdown because of a reported threat.
Garner Police said the school called 911 at 11:57 a.m. to request police at the school because a student was threatening others with a "bladed weapon."
When officers arrived at the campus, they learned that a student who left the building after becoming upset during a parent meeting with school administration tried to re-enter the school.
The school immediately was locked down, preventing the student from re-entering.
The parent left the school with the student, police said.
The school stayed on lockdown until police ensured that the student and parent had left the property.
No students or staffers were ever in danger, police said, and the incident remains under investigation.
