ECU student from Vance County charged with secret peeping

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A student at East Carolina University is facing multiple charges in connection with a secret peeping incident.

According to campus police, 21-year-old Ashton Michael Boone, of Henderson, was accused of multiple secret-peeping incidents at three different dorms in March.

He's also been charged with trespassing for allegedly entering resident halls without permission.

He was not living on campus at the time of the incidents.

Boone has since been banned from campus.



"If there are any individuals that have been a victim of this from today to the past, I would recommend that they come forward so they can provide us with the information so that we can see if it's related to these incidents that we've been investigating," said Deputy Chief Chris Sutton.

Boone made a court appearance on Wednesday and was released from jail on a $35,000 bond.
