Friday, June 20, 2025
RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Hundreds are still without power after severe weather rolled across Central NC.

A cold front moving in from the West sparked those storms, which developed in the late afternoon and into the evening.

Strong thunderstorms that rolled through Durham sparked warnings in the area, bringing heavy rain, thunder and lightning, and wind gusts.

Some areas reported trees and power lines that were knocked down due to the storms. Holloway Street in Durham was closed while crews worked to restore power to the area.
