First Lady Melania Trump is expected to travel to Ashe County on Tuesday. She's visiting the area to promote community resiliency and education technology in American schools as part of her focus on preparing children and youth for success in the digital era.
She will deliver remarks to elementary school students and visit classrooms to see how technology is being integrated into education.
The visit to a local school will mark the first lady's return to western North Carolina since she and President Donald Trump toured damage from Hurricane Helene in January 2025.
