Garbage truck flips in Johnston County, one person hurt

JOHNSTON COUNTY (WTVD) -- At least one person was hurt Wednesday when a garbage truck flipped onto its side along a Johnston County road.

It happened just before noon on Covered Bridge Road, southwest of Applewhite Road in Wendell.



Authorities said the driver of the truck lost control, ran off the road, over-corrected and then overturned.

The driver was reportedly ejected from the truck.
