ABC11 was at Barker-Lane Stadium for the opening ceremony Thursday night.
Local officials say this event is a big economic boost for Dunn and Harnett County.
"We invite you to explore our area and discover Dunn. We welcome you, we encourage you to have fun in Dunn. Now we ask you to join us tomorrow as we play ball," said Mayor William Elmore, Jr.
More than 500 players, on 42 teams from ten states are competing in the 5-day event.
Last night, U.S. Army Golden Knights parachuted onto the field with the game ball.
