CLAYTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Johnston County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide after deputies found two people shot at a home in the Flowers community Saturday morning.
Deputies responded to a home on Valley Field Drive in Clayton, authorities said. When they arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds.
One victim was taken to a hospital by EMS. The second victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators said one person is in custody and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The sheriff's office said the case remains an active investigation.
