Shotsie Michael Buck Hayes, 29, is accused of pouring gasoline on the 38-year-old Vogler on Wednesday and then lighting him on fire.

The attack happened at the office of a local magazine where Vogler worked.

Danville Police said the attack stemmed from a personal matter and was not related to Vogler's status as an elected official.
