Cary town worker's wife missing on Caribbean Island

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Cary town worker is on a flight heading to Grenada to help search for his missing wife.

Elizabeth "Liz" Waddell has been missing on the Caribbean island since Wednesday.

The Royal Grenada Police say she was last seen at Grande Anse Beach.

Police have put out a missing person poster. Waddell's husband, Cailen Waddell, told ABC11 that she is about 5 feet tall with short blonde hair.



Police are encouraging fishermen and boat operators nearby to be on the lookout for her.



Cailen Waddell serves as the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources manager for the Town of Cary.
