Elizabeth "Liz" Waddell, 44, has been missing since Wednesday, July 22. She was staying in the Grand Anse Beach area of St. George's, Grenada, while vacationing with a friend.
During a news conference Tuesday, a Grenada police commissioner said Waddell remains missing and that the case is still being treated as a missing person investigation.
Police also released new details about Waddell's movements before she disappeared.
According to investigators, surveillance video shows Waddell walking toward a jetty near her Airbnb at 11:36 a.m. on July 22. She was wearing a swimsuit and spent several minutes sitting on the jetty in the sun.
Authorities said the video shows Waddell removing her towel before entering the water at approximately 11:51 a.m. She was later seen swimming at 12:04 p.m.
Investigators said surveillance footage does not show Waddell returning from the water.
At approximately 12:46 p.m., video shows her friend walking outside to look for her before returning alone, police said.
Waddell was subsequently reported missing, prompting an immediate search effort by Grenadian authorities.
Investigators said they are continuing to review evidence and reconstruct Waddell's movements before her disappearance.
As loved ones wait for answers, Waddell's husband, Cailen Waddell, shared details about the woman he describes as compassionate, outgoing and eager to help others.
"My wife is a loving, free-spirited person," he said. "She can make friends with anyone, and she often did. She placed great value in her intuition about people and was always willing to help someone."

Waddell, a Cary physical therapist and Aradia Fitness instructor, is being remembered by loved ones as someone who cared deeply about others and was always willing to lend a hand.
The U.S. State Department told ABC News it was aware Waddell was missing in Grenada and was assisting the family with filing missing persons reports. The agency declined further comment, citing privacy.
